Community Outreach Coordinator (5 hours per week)
The H.E.L.P. House is in need of a self-motivated and highly organized person living in the London area to promote our mission and services. Qualified candidates should have access to the Internet and e-mail, be available during the workday to make presentations and attend meetings, and provide their own transportation. Candidates must be effective public speakers, and should have a passion for helping individuals and families in need. Responsibilities for this position include recruiting and coordinating volunteer efforts for regular hours at the H.E.L.P. House and special outreaches; making presentations to community groups, local businesses, government organizations, and grant-making agencies; creating and updating presentations, brochures, and flyers about mission and services; drafting articles for local newspapers and the H.E.L.P. House website; attending meetings with local non-profit organizations and corporate groups; and other duties as assigned by the director.
Grant Researcher and Writer (3 hours per week)
The H.E.L.P. House is in need of a self-motivated, highly organized, and computer-literate person who can search for and locate grants and other funding opportunities for a non-profit organization. Qualified candidates should have access to the Internet and e-mail and possess knowledge about funding sources for nonprofit organizations. Responsibilities for this position include locating funding opportunities for non-profit organizations and applying for grants that would support our mission; reporting to the director and advisory board every two weeks on the status of applications and research; and other duties as assigned by the director.
